Maddon’s Post Restaurant Opens with Design From Fc Studio
New to Chicago’s culinary scene is an Art Deco–style restaurant from Cubs team manager Joe Maddon, designed by Fc Studio. Called Maddon’s Post, the 7,400-square-foot eatery employs brass fixtures, patterned wallpaper, splashes of pink, and leather seating to evoke another era. Upstairs, the Flamingo Room has an open-air patio and a private dining room. “With varied settings and finishes, the guest can experience nods to eras past while enjoying vignettes of styles and settings that are meaningful to Joe: the humbleness of a family parlor, the plushness of Deco-era supper clubs, and the cheeky vibe of a custom van,” Rachel Crowl, principal architect of Fc Studio, tells AD PRO.
